1) why are alternative spellings considered wrong? For example QuickTrip compared to KwickTrip?


I think that there is a mainstream, common and widely held way of spelling words. When someone goes against the grain, so to say, it is considered wrong. I think people intentionally spell words like on purpose to stand out and to create name recognition. (for being spelled wrong)
